Dried egg sac stuck on one month old panther?

He has been eating and drinking very well. He has had trouble with that eye since he hatched, literally as soon as he poked his head out of the egg it has been larger than the other, now some days it seems to be normal sized and others it’s big. The only input I could get on his eye was from a...

Dried egg sac stuck on one month old panther?

Okay that’s kind of what I figured. It’s funny I’ve done so much research on keeping panther chameleons but I somehow completely skipped looking into their bathroom habits!

Here is another picture where you can see what I’m talking about very clearly!

Dried egg sac stuck on one month old panther?

I agree that he is very small and I am very anxious about taking him out of his enclosure at all, that’s why I’ve left him to his own devices so far. It doesn’t seem to be bothering him, he hunts and moves around his enclosure perfectly fine. I do mist his enclosure pretty often, though I try to...

Dried egg sac stuck on one month old panther?

Hey guys, I have a baby panther that hatched on 7/9 who has what I think is his egg sac dried onto his leg, as well as a little worm like thing on his tail? I’ve attached a photo where you can (kind of) see both. Should I wait for it to fall off on its own or should I try to take it off? Thank you!

    Hatchling Panther Eye Size Difference

Yeah his eyes were already like this when just his head was poking out of the egg, with the smaller eye being the one he was laying on.

    Hatchling Panther Eye Size Difference

He got in a good enough position for me to take a photo showing the difference! It isn’t fantastic but you can definitely tell one is much larger than the other.

    Hatchling Panther Eye Size Difference

He is still very small and mostly just hangs out on the top of his enclosure, and he still has the dried umbilical/egg sac on him so I’ve been avoiding handling him at all. I’ll try to post pictures in a few days when he seems more used to being alive! EDIT: is it possible for him to have cancer...

    Hatchling Panther Eye Size Difference

Thanks for your reply! Yours didn’t have any issue with vision? That’s my main concern, that he won’t be able to hunt/recognize water properly.

    Hatchling Panther Eye Size Difference

Hey guys, first time poster! My panther egg hatched yesterday! It was a very fast hatching process, I noticed shrinking and sweating around 6am, by 1pm he had his head stuck out of the egg, and by 9pm he was up and about! He still has a little egg sac stuck to him but it doesn’t seem to bother...
