I am currently feeding my Cham 10 crickets and 1 large silkworm daily, and have a few questions:
I'm buying silkworm pods from coastalsilkworms.com; my first pod lasted about a month, and only a couple of the worms died, but supposedly there is only enough food supplied for a couple...
I've had mine for about 7 weeks now, and he still hides a little when I enter the room if he's on the top branch under the basking lamp. But for some reason when he's on the leaves in the front of the cage, he doesn't hide at all when he sees me, and that's even closer. He still won't let me...
i live in ND.. I have them too. They look like fruit flies, but I don't think they are. Whatever they are, they aren't that bothersome. I think they like the live plants
I think he's doing well. He shed his skin yesterday, and dropped some very large stool. He didn't seem interested in the silkworms, as they were still crawling around last night untouched. But I have been gut loading the crickets the night before with carrots, oranges and Flunckers diet...

hey thanks for the feedback... it's a big cage for a little guy, agreed! But if he was hungry and had a bunch of tasty silkworms on his branch right in front of him, wouldn't he eat them? I gave him some around noon today, got home...
