Is it possible for him to have had too much water?

My veiled chameleon which I'm guessing is about 9 mths old has suddenly started to seem a little unbalanced. When he is about to strike a cricket his head shakes. When he's going to walk he sort of slips to one side. Any suggestions on what it could be and please don't say metabolic bone...
