Hey luvs to lay on the water fall to cool down. and drinks as well. . its the best to keep him hydrate. And it doesn't make a mess with water. Only sometimes when he has his tail hanging out and the water starts to trail out. .lol

Or it can just simple be just cause of the different kind of chameleon. The velieds might have smaller eyes then your average panther chameleon. Cause i have wonder as well but it might just be that.
