My 5 months old Veiled cham Kiddo hasn't been eating as much as he did before Winter came around. He usually average 10 crickets a day, now he's barely doing 5 or less. I would rub Kiddo's chin where his spikes are and he's starts to move his head upwards and one of his arms up then stays like that as long as I am rubbing. Almost like scratching a cat behind it's ears..haha :D

The thing is those lobes of his are permanently flared out. So I'm wondering if that's normal? I've searched so many different pictures of Veiled chams and I don't see any of their casque lobes flared out unless they're turning their heads in that direction.

I'm not sure if this is normal and I understand that the rear left and right can fold/bend..I look at my brother's Veiled's casque and the rear folds when he turns his head left or right, but both sides goes straight back when he's looking forward. Mine on the other hand just stays folded out...

I would not recommend feeders that are found outside because they can carry parasites and other bacteria; I'm sure mostly everyone on this forum would say the same if I'm not wrong.

Not much to worry about from my experience, eventually the shed will come off by itself. The older your cham gets, the shedding gets slower.

How is your misting set up? What are your hour intervals and time in each misting session? Do you have substrate of any kind and if you do, I would suggest removing the substrate and try to have a clear ground or some type of drainage system to help avoid puddles of water. From the problem I...
