Chameleon names. What's your chameleon's name?

I have two veiled chameleons, both males, named Charlie The Lizard and Mowgli. My daughter picked the name Charlie's name.

    Administering Reptiaid

So, I just went ahead and did it. I found that hornworms don't work well because all of the fluid oozes/squirts out on the first bite. However, dubias work great! The exoskeleton holds the the medication nicely when injected into the abdomen with a syringe. A medium/large dubia can hold about...

    Administering Reptiaid

I bought some Reptiaid for my guys. While they seem to be in good health, I figured it might be a good idea to administer it a couple times a year to be proactive. I have some syringes that I no longer need. Has anyone tried injecting feeders with meds to make it less traumatic for their cham's?

    Dark Veiled Cham

The cage looks a little sparse and might cause him stress. However, one of my veileds, also bought from LLL, looks to be about the same age and markings, he could be related to your little guy, and tends to be more brown than my other one unless he is directly under the tube light and my kids...

My Jackson Cham ICARUS is gone!

When I found Charlie, he was in one of the taller trees silhouetted by the sun. Because chameleon's patterns are meant to break up the lizard's outline, a direct approach may not be effective. Instead, get low and look up. Don't look for a lizard, look for a shape. This was a common technique we...

My Jackson Cham ICARUS is gone!

Don't give up! I looked for a year after my daughter's veiled went missing. Then one day, I looked up in a neighbor's tree, and there he was. They are more resilient than we give them credit for. Keep looking!:)

Is he stressted, or do they just get dark at certain times?

i would think that after hanging out for a bit he just wanted to get some extra UV by getting dark, but even if he's fine with being handled, it might take a lot out of him. The human definition of stress is not the same for animals, so from a chameleon standpoint he could be stressed.

    Charlie and Mowgli's New Digs

I made the rock out of styrofoam. They were cut using a hot foam saw and covered in multiple layers of grout. Once completely dry details were painted in with acrylic paint. After I was happy with each one, I waterproofed each one with an a cyrillic sealer and set them aside for weeks to air...

    Charlie and Mowgli's New Digs

I created it myself. There are natural elements like cork, but the rock are hand made and the rest is Great Stuff spray foam covered in silicon and coco fiber. The planters and cricket cups are all integrated into the background. While I hand feed most of the time, the cricket cups/ caves are...
