Basic biology, scars can not be passed through genetics. Not attacking, but I would re-evaluate my husbandry and setups. When you notice a pattern, there's usually a cause.
Make sure to read your labels carefully! Many so called "organic" potting soils still have added fertilizers, etc. My local hydroponics shop carries many organic compost/potting soil mixes that clearly state their contents on the label.
Adding my 2 cents with everyone else... No substrate! Too easily injested. Remove the bowls. Schefelarra ( umbrella plants ) are great plants for little chams, my home depot sells em for less than $6. Buy a cheap plant mister, and wash it thoroughly. Use bottled water and mist 3 times daily...
Be careful, a lot of chams will over eat. How old is your Cham? They eat like little piggies when their growing, check some of the care sheets on this sight for what should be average. But with each individual it's a ymmv situation. Easy way to tell your over feeding is to check the stool. Lots...
