My baby boy, Guido, is almost 4 1/2 now and he has been having some health problems. It started out as an infection in his vent, but he soon became extremely weak. I am now feeding him liquid food and have to hand give him water because he is to weak to do it himself. We go to the vet this...
I buy distilled water for like 69 cents. If you destroy your machine before warranty is up, they wont replace it because it tells you not to use it. I advice you to get distilled, in the long run its worth it.
Yes! When using tab water, depending on your water system, it halves the life of the mister you are using. If you do it by hand, it shouldn't make a difference but if you have a mister machine, defiantly use distilled water.
I was told to keep a running water supply so I bought a waterfall before I got my mister. He never touched it. I asked someone about it at a local pet store and they told me to just try a dish. That most of their chameleons had no issues with dishes and it worked!
Also have a veiled
I am not 100% sure how it should be, but I keep my humidity pretty steady during the day, then let in drop at night. Again, this is just me.
My veiled prefers to drink from a dish than his mister. He does drink from his mister, but I think he doesn't like being sprayed. Kind of like a cat.
Of course this is only an idea of why they may have a water dish.:)
I have found that my baby boy does the same. I did move him to a larger screened terrarium but he still climbs. Most the time when i find him on the bottom or trying to climb like that, he will take food from me as if he's starving, then goes back to his favorite basking spot. I also know...
It get's pretty cold here, so he is in his old glass terrarium. He hates it, but he hates the cold more. Hopefully it will warm up so I can put him back in him mansion.
