First Shed with my Jackson Female....

Ohh good point about using the leaves to scratch herself with, I hadn't thought of that. She's been in a pretty decent mood, although I haven't been handling her while she's shedding. She comes right over when it's time to get fed, and has been very fast to get to the water side of the cage for...

First Shed with my Jackson Female....

Really? Mine is hanging in a room that averages between 65-75, with basking spots up to 80+ during the day. At night it drops a bit, between her lights being off and me dropping the heat. She mostly sits in the dry spots at the middle of the cage, or the wet spots at the top of the cage. I've...

First Shed with my Jackson Female....

I'm excited too! Her shedding, kind of feels like validation that I'm doing something right as a Cham Mom lol!! I bumped up the humidity. My humidifier is a bonus to both her and the plants I keep in that room (outside of her mesh cage, the same room she is in, is where I keep my plants over...

First Shed with my Jackson Female....

Hi all! I've posted a few times and everyone has taught me SO much, so thank you for that! I've got an enclosure, water system, feeding plan, and gutloading system that works!! New line of questions- my little girl is shedding. This morning she was totally normal, ate, hung out under the...

things you cannot gut load your feeders with....

If I were to grab 3 things from the grocery store for my crickets gut loading...what would they be??! I'm single and live alone, keeping fresh produce is a challenge!

Can I ask what is in the upside down soda bottle top? Also what cage do you have... looks roomy and how did you secure your branches and plants to the sides? I've been using fishing line (Nessie can't get to it), tried floral wire, but it tore a small spot in my cage.

Thanks to this forum and all of the awesome advice and pictures I upgraded Nessie! The shelf helps b/c the table her cage was on was a bit wobbly, I no longer have to keep the lights on a cooling rack to keep them off the top of the cage and it will work well for when she needs a bigger cage...

Update! Thanks to this forum and all of the awesome advice and pictures I upgraded Nessie! The shelf helps b/c the table her cage was on was a bit wobbly, I no longer have to keep the lights on a cooling rack and will work well for when she needs a bigger cage. The dripper works so well, no...

Is that an exo terra cage? Asking b/c that's what I've got and i'd love to put some dowels up like that with push pins, just not sure the mesh can support it.

Where did you find such large branches? I'd love to get something like that for my set up!

    Dripper advice

I love this post! I thought I was the only one struggling to find crazy, out of the box solutions for my Cham! I love to be crafty and creative too. I go to the second hand stores and find things to transform into newer and better things (Pinterest was life changing to me!!). I also think it's...

    Dripper advice

All good advice. I elevated the cup and it's dripping well. Not sure if she is bothered by the temp of the water or if she hasn't caught on yet. She's caught on to me misting her and that routine. Going to keep this going for a few more days. Do think I'll make a dripper with a plastic tub and...

    Dripper advice

Are you using a mesh cage? Just tried elevating my "super fancy" red solo- ice cube dripper and it worked well (thanks Ataraxia!!). I'd imagine a dripper minus the tube would give me the same result for a longer time than my ice cubes can help with. My Cham seems smarter than I expected. After...

    Dripper advice

I'm a pretty creative person, but even this one has me stumped. Any ideas??? Hi there! I just got a young female Jackson and she's my first Cham. The set up I have is an Exo Terra mesh cage, medium size for now. I'm getting pretty creative with the set up, used a cooling rack to keep the lights...
