Update: Morty has sadly passed away. He was eating 5-7 crickets a day if he was hungry. If he wasn’t he always had access to food. I gave him wax worms and super worms as snacks occasionally. It sucks putting in so much work and effort into him and him dying so suddenly. I can’t think of any...

So I’m assuming that I just live in a horrible location because their is only 1 exotic vet remotely close to me but they can’t get me in until the 2nd week of February. Since I bought him at petco do you all think that they would be any help?

Yeah I figured as much. The plant on the very bottom is real. I don’t know how he could be dehydrated with the amount that I mist and the amount of times I turn his dripper on. I’m assuming it’s because he’s been so lethargic the past couple days that he hasn’t been going over to his dripper...

I forgot to add. He is also being very lethargic and slow with his movements as well. Again this all started happening very recently.

My almost 4 month old chameleon has been sitting in the same spot in his cage. (Top right corner near heat lamp on the side of the cage). The past week and a half he has barely been eating. And I just noticed in the past 2 days his eyes have been closing all the time and they are now sunken in...

Update: I ended up getting a golden pathos from Lowe’s. I added the new vines in and replaced the old vine with Flukers smooth vines and made sure that he had two seperate basking spots for heat and UVB. The new bulb is coming in tomorrow. Morty also started shedding again today as well.

The correct bulb is ordered! In the near future I'm gonna switch out these fake plants for some real ones. Morty can't wait!

Thank you all so much for your advice. I have new vines coming in tomorrow to replace the Exo Terra Vine. I also plan on waiting a week to see how he adjusts to the new light before returning the fixtures I just bought. I will keep you all updated!

The fixture is 14” and the bulb in the fixture now says 11”. So confusing!

Update: I am an idiot. 🙄 The current fixture is a T5HO but I cant find an 11" bulb anywhere.

He climbs to the highest points in his cage quite a bit, not on the metal though. Would I ever have to worry about overexposure with the T5 in that case?

So the T8 Repti Zoo Terrarium hood isn't optimal? Because of the fixture?

I’m sorry about the confusion. The current is actually a t8 fixture. I was under the impression that T5 and T8 was the thickness between of the bulb prongs.
