Strange out of the blue behavior

Thanks for all the updates! My only guesses are D3 overdose, between the supplementation and the higher D3 content in bug burger... or possibly parasites. If I were you, I'd get a fecal done at the vet and rule that out, since it's an easy thing to check. Hermes is a GREAT name for a panther...

Strange out of the blue behavior

Howdy! Can you be more specific? The more detail you give, the better we can assess what's going on. :) Handling - how often do you do educational shows? Feeding - How many bugs do you feed your cham per feeding? How do you do it - bowl, shooting gallery, by hand? It's probably best to...

Strange out of the blue behavior

Pictures of your cham would also be good. You said you give him repashy LoD twice a month and reptivite twice a month - does that mean he's getting a multivitamin every week? If so, that's too much in the way of supplements. Repashy LoD twice a month (say, the 1st and 15th) is a perfect...

Do my boys poops look healthy?

Also, if he's about a year old, make sure you're cutting back on feeding - he looks a great weight right now but veilds are known to be little garbage disposals. As they get into adulthood (around one year) you'll want to cut down to 3-4 feeders, roughly 3 days a week, with a weekend day maybe...

    Leg dangling

The edema looks great! As far as hanging legs - I'm not a vet or even truly an expert, but if I were in your shoes, I'd definitely ask for bloodwork for the possible gout and to see if there are any markers for infection, and perhaps an x-ray to see if there's any injury and to check bone...

    Sos eye issue part 2

Dr. Dalhausen is great. They ARE a little slow to see people sometimes (though the two times I went there were some DIRE emergency bird cases they had to take care of - a bobcat had half-gutted someone's pet duck O_O) but they treated me great. I did leave my cham my second visit because he was...

Is it just me or does her leg look swollen

I wish there was a hug/care emoji here. I know you're taking into account everything you can and will make a decision. THat decision WILL be the correct one - there are so many unknowns that you can't know the future, and you can only choose based on what information you have, what guidance you...

Is it just me or does her leg look swollen

For what it's worth, I've sometimes seen Boogie asleep in a spot and then I go back later and he's in a different spot. It's not SUPER frequent, but it has happened, and man, sometimes the sleep positions are 100% Goobertastic. If Nachito isn't feeling well and her world is a bit upside down...

    Gout?

What type of cage do you have? You still want a chimney effect with air coming up and out of the enclosure, but beyond a screen top and a small chunk of the front being a screen for that airflow, you can hybridize the enclosure by doing solid walls/door or, if you have a screen cage, you'll want...

2,5yo Panther chameleon doesn’t move around much, sits all day. Used to be active….

Mucus looks like snot - it could be stringy, white/yellow, and thick and sorta jelly-like. As far as the spots on your cham, those look like papillomas to me. BEtween the possible respiratory infection and those, I"d suggest visiting a vet familiar with chameleons.

Chameleon eyes closed all the time didn’t eat for three weeks and barely moved

Actually soaking chams is no longer recommended. There's no evidence that they absorb water through their cloaca and as far as shedding goes, they're dry shedders, so soaking him will make the shed much much more difficult to remove. They're also temperature sensitive so even luke warm water can...

    Bump on nasal area

Could be some sort of nasal/sinus area infection too. I would also recommend a vet visit to ID what that is.

    Gout?

Injectible antibiotics I think is pretty common, but I'm not a vet. If they're going to go with antibiotics, they should also be suggesting injection in the front half of the Cham/in the front legs, not the back.

    Mouth rot?

Had my vet visit! Boogie's mouth really seemed to clear up on its own before today but I went ahead and kept the appointment. Sadly, he didn't give me a fresh fecal to bring in but they said I'd be able to drop one off. They LOVED him there! They don't get a ton of panthers so he got to take...

    Kidney Failure

Sending hugs. He's a gorgeous guy and he clearly enjoyed your company. I'm so sorry you lost him. My heart aches for you.
