NEED ASAP! Adult panther chameleon cage!

We just moved across country and the package containing the chameleon cage got lost!!! Our chameleon got here safe, but now he's in a cheap 12x12x18 cage - and none of the local pet stores carry screen cages (middle of nowhere yay). He's an adult Nosy Faly. We got the hood for the cage...

A question about the nasal passages and nasolacrimal duct

oo! I love dissection photos, especially of animals I enjoy, from a scientific standpoint (chameleons and bowhead whales being my two favs, although the latter is hard to find pix of a dissection).

    Personal Stories

My meanest was probably the female veiled I owned back in Hawaii. Varekai was so freakin' mean. We put her outside and if anyone even came outside, she would gape and hiss. We ended up moving to the mainland a few months after we got her and gave her to a fantastic guy who ended up breeding her...

    Just wondering. Chameleon bites

My male veiled, who died a few months ago, bit me the first time I tried to clean his cage. After that, I wore a fake leather glove every time I cleaned his cage. he bit it a few times, but only when I cleaned his cage! Any other time, he would waltz onto my hand, happy as a clam, and just chill...

    Male nosy faly, growing slowly.

I had him sexed in another thread and it was pretty overwhelmingly male. https://www.chameleonforums.com/new-nosy-faly-baby-96778/

    Male nosy faly, growing slowly.

Thanks! Are there cham owner groups or anything like that out here or is it rather informal? And it's great to know that there are people out here for support. :)

    Male nosy faly, growing slowly.

ahh, ok. Thanks camimom! I got a few extra bulbs sitting around here. Or should I leave the ceramic heater on during the day as well? You always seem to help out whenever I have questions and I really appreciate it!

    Male nosy faly, growing slowly.

I'll go buy a basking bulb from him - I'm in the La Mesa area, but I work out at the docks at Mission Bay. A bit north of you, but hey! Nice to meet a fellow cham lover out here! I moved out here in September, so it's great to know that there's some other cham parents out here. :)

    Male nosy faly, growing slowly.

OK, I'll switch it to daily. I wasn't because I still saw a few crickets wandering around the cage. I haven't bought a basking bulb - I figured it was warm enough. I plan on homing him outside during the warmer months anyway, which is why I opted not to get one. I'll grab one ASAP from LLL -...

    Male nosy faly, growing slowly.

Chameleon Info: Your Chameleon - Male, Nosy Faly, bought from LLL in beginning of November. Estimated to have been born Handling - Once or twice a week to clean the cage (not a full cage cleaning, just basic care, but I sometimes need to move him around as I pick up leaves, poop, clean up...

    crickets keep escaping?

OK, so I've been trying to keep track of the crickets my baby panther has been eating. I usually am all about free-range eating, but I figured I'd give cup feeding a try. So I've been putting the crickets in a rather deep deli cup. not too deep that my cham can escape, but deep enough for the...

    Types of Panthers..

it's the locales. if you want a really good rundown of locales, go to http://www.cleanlinechameleons.com/ . They have a basic description and then you can google search to see some that are available. Male panthers are the only ones that show the coloration mentioned on that website. females are...

    New Nosy Faly Baby!

We settled on a name: Bubbagump! I liked Bubba, my boyfriend liked Gump, so we went with BubbaGump. I am so seriously obsessed with Forrest Gump and eat at Bubba Gump Shrimp every chance I get, so it was pretty fun to finally name him something that I really enjoy!
