Chams and Their Colors...What do they mean?

Most veiled get darker when they get stressed and lighter when happy. Although my seems to do the opposite but hes just a character of his own.

    Pather or Veiled

I have resently bought my first cham. I chose a Veiled over a Pather as reconmended. It turned out to be a good choice. Love him to bits now. Altough I am looking at getting a Panther lol :)

Is it common to remove a part of the tail?

The is what happens when people think more about the money than the animals care. Shame on any petshop who buys from such a supplier. :)

    The Great Escape

I woke up at 4 oclock this morning finding my cham trying to escape by scraping at the front glass. Hes been sitting by the glass all day. Is there any perticular reason he would be doing this? Liam

    Help sexing!!

They are a little harder to identify than the Veiled species at this age as they grow a little slower. Males usually tend to be more grey than the female. I would say Male tbh. have a look at this thread https://www.chameleonforums.com/sexing-panther-chameleons-558/

Mouth open at the basking place

Im not to up on Chams tbh as i have only just started keeping them. But I do know alot of other animals uses the moisture in their mouths to regulate their body temperatue. The moisture that is evapourated carrys heat away from the body. Not sure if its right but you could have a look in to it...
