People in this forum are smart, but very gullible indeed. Nicky is a troll. Trolls live for the responses they get from people. Nicky is probably a 40 year old man living in his mothers basement.
You shouldn't be opening the cage and reaching around in there if he's only been there a few days. Cover his cage with a thin sheet so nothing can look at him and let him get used to his cage. Then you can take the sheet off and give him so more time to get used to the area and maybe try some...
That sucks sorry to hear that. I don't think I'd have a chameleon if I had dogs and cats in the house also. There is always the possibility of something like this happening.
Put a tree or branch next to his enclosure on the outside and leave the door open. See if he comes out on his own, then wait a while and approach him again once he's in his branch outside of his enclosure.
I have a 12 year old that loves chameleons. Is there a place in SoCal to see some other than going to a reptile store? Like maybe a breeder that allows people to see them?
