grasshoppers, locus, pillbugs, sowbugs -> do
ants and some earthworms produce special secrets, making them unenjoyable, so I would avoid these.
As a rule of thumb avoid anything that's poisonous, or feeds on anything poisonous (as leafhoppers, certain butterflys) or stings (bees, wasps, even...
Your chameleon is overfed. An adult chameleon requires only 2-3 feeding-days a week, maximal 5 crickets a serving. Cut down on the super worms, they are high-caloric. If you continue to feed him this way, he most certainly die due to kidney failure.
No, tortoises may carry amoebae, which are harmless for them, but can be lethal for other reptiles.
I don't know much about tortoises, but shouldn't they hibernate during winter?
Sorry to hear this,
Do you have a powerful flashlight? Chances might be easier searching during the night, because it is easier to distinguish them from the leafage, beacause their skin is 'luminous' and they don't turn behind the branches when they're sleeping.
I'll keep my fingers crossed
Start feeding him every other day. If a chameleon gets picky, then don't feed it at all for a few days, then offer the crickets again.
There is no rule concerning length and weight, but there are some stats, which at least give a slight hint, at where the average may lie...
I thought I made another message, which seems to have mysteriously disppeared.
I'd be glad to do it, if you are interested. At the moment though, I'm a bit short of time and I've got exams next week, so you might have to wait a bit.;)
Your humanizing them again. After three bowls...
We have to stop humanizing these animals, reptiles have a completly different metabolism then we have.

That is indeed waaaaaaay to much food. An adult ch. calyptratus should get about 5 crickets A WEEK. A chameleon should always be hungry, if it starts to get picky, then you should let it starve, untill it starts eating again anything you offer.
If your chameleon has been fed like this for a...
Could you please give me a link to the nutrition list site?
The tables I looked at usually had about 6% fat content for crickets.
Althought it seems to vary depending on the diet.
Couldnt find any reliable list for the composition of silkworms, but this might be a hint:
Of course too...
I don't think that the coccidia in this case are the direct cause for the declining health. Adult chameleons with a minor coccidia infestation, will live on for years untreated, assumed that they are in good condition and the husbandry is correct.
I'm more concerned about his dietary condition...
