You'll want to look into a screen cage asap, and nix the substrate because she'll possibly eat it even accidentally while catching dinner and she could get an impaction. Great start! Cricket is adorable.
Thank you so much!! I am going to get rid of the substrate ASAP. I've been so stressed out with her because I lost my first one after a few weeks. He went from being active, eating and with normal poops and one day I woke up and he was gone. I really don't want to lose her. Thank you for your advice. Any other tips you can give I'd appreciate. My husband will be building her a vertical/larger screen cage in the next few months and I have lots of Pinterest pin ideas for it lol
There's an amazing amount of info here, and tons of great people for advice! I lost a baby shortly after I brought her home, too. It hurt so now I'm an obsessive mom to my scale babies!
Hahaha that is how I feel too! I was totally obsessed with the first one and so heart broken when he died. I researched 3-5 hours a night for almost 3 weeks before buying him. Tried to make the perfect set up and he was much more social than I expected. He would come to my hand and crawl up occasionally when I put the food in. I think they are amazing! Do you have a male or female? Or both?
