Carpet Setup / Humidifier and Mister.

Here is my setup for my carpets. I have a humidifier and bought an additional misting system (Herpmist) for them. Every time I do this I simplify things just a little. I think this setup was the easiest in regards to drainage and over all setup.

I mist 2 min every two hours and the humidifier runs for about an hour three times a day.

60w basking house bulb
Ambient temp 71 - 75 F and 85 F basking
18" reptisun 5.0 (tube)
1 Ficus and 1 Umbrella per cage. (Very heavy coverage in the cage, lots of cover)
Misting system - Herpmist (on every two hours for 2 min each time)
Humidity is 60 - 80 % (I have seen it drop to 50% for a short period.

i really like that humidifier set up. Is that only for carpets that they need a higher humidity? I am wondering if i should do that for my veiled. He gets misted 3 times a day for about 5 minutes a time and has a dripper. But i wonder if a humidifier will help him out as well

edit: I worry about humidity because i live in lubbock tx (there is literally no humidity in this area usually, a bit more so now because we had a monsoon a week ago, but usually its really dry

What is your humidity at normally. If it is in the range of 40 - 50 you should be fine for a veiled

ok, he is fine then. The humidity is generally mid 40s and i've seen it high 30s every now and then.

Heck Ya Brodda! Freaking Sweet Setup!

I need a raise...:eek:lol

Damn man your stuff always looks sweet.

I was wondering though, if you raised you humidfier to the same height of the exhausts ducts, it may make you flow a little bit more efficeint.

Do you do house calls...LOL

NICE JOB
