black mesh enclosures

who here has one of those black mesh enclosures, the ones that look like a rectangular laundry hamper? how dark is it really, can you see your cham in it with the lights on or is it kinda/sorta difficult unless you get up close to it? or is it too dark too see unless you open(unzip) it and push aside the flap? are they worth buying or should i get an aluminum screen cage instead?

I got one once, but it was a bit too dark. I just didn't like it at all and quickly got a better one. I kept it for a bit of sun in the garden because its light and good for temporary stuff. I just last week cut it up as a mesh front panel to a homemade viv. I've got a spare frame I don't want now. I wouldn't recommend one of those mesh ones. The only advantage I can think of is they are cheap. I also think they look it......

Yeah they are super dark, but really cheap! I have them as spares... The first time I bought one, it was replaced within the first week!

yeah i was thinking of getting the baby vieled cham setup package from lllreptile which comes with that cage but i wasent so sure about the visual aspect of it with a black mesh. Does anyone know if the sell that size mesh in a lighter color like grey?

i got the lll baby veiled set up and found it to be a bit large for the babys but works great for juvis and smaller chams..the mesh allows plenty of light for cham viewing

I have one and honestly I dont like it. They are so dark and sometimes the zippers get stuck. I wouldn't buy another one. I went and built one of those aluminum cages . Like the ones from lllreptile. And use the reptarium for when I take my cham outside
