Black mark on nose. Possible burn or nose rub?

Hi,
One of my male panthers has a black mark on the tip of his nose that doesn't seem to be shifting. It appeared a few months ago and seems to have got a little bit larger if anything.

Here is a picture from a few months ago where you can just see a small mark on his right side of his nose:

And here is one from last night. The mark on his bottom lip is just from eating a bug so not worried about that, it's the mark on the end of his snout.

Does anyone have any idea as to what this could be? I'm thinking maybe a burn due to how long it's taking to heal and the fact that it's black but I've heard that they can 'nose-rub'. Is this anything to consider in this situation?

One more thing to add, the end of his tail is a bit dark at the moment too but I'm pretty sure he hurt it when falling as it's only the very tip and seems to be healing up ok.

Thanks!

They definitely can nose rub. How large is his cage? Does he spend a lot of time walking around on the bottom or pacing along the cage sides? If he's out of his cage a lot maybe he rubs for a while after he's returned to the cage.

He has a large cage. It's about 40 inches high, 22" wide and 22" deep.

He in single-handedley the most laid-back, friendly chameleon I have ever encountered and therefore he absolutely loves coming out so he is out quite alot. He does go round his cage a lot but I can't say I've ever noticed him nose rubbing. Is it as obvious as it sounds?

It looks like a little nose rub to me. Almost like a little callus. He probably does rub his nose against the screen every now and then. Maybe in just passing.
It doesn't look swollen or infected or anything

Yeah I think that's probably whats happening. He wanders a lot. I've been applying antispetic cream to it that the vet gave me a while back for a poor;y tail so I'll persist with that. Is there anything else I can do to stop him doing it?

I just thought I'd update this thread in case people have similar issues in the future.
The vet thought he was nose rubbing but now he has stopped (maybe due to ambient temperature increase) and after a peel, his nose is as good as new!

His tail tip looks like he has broken it somehow and the very end (about 8mm) has died and is falling off but he is completely fine.

What did the vet say about the tail? If is gets necrotic it could keep spreading up the tail. Do you have a pic you can take??

The vet said that it looked fine and that it was just the tail tip that would fall off. He did say though that if it did look to spread to come back but was looking fine at this stage.
