My male panther this morning when he woke up was super pissy. I turned his lights on and he took off down to the bottom of his reptarium and sat in the dirt pot of his big shefflera. He was sitting with his butt in the dirt and holding a branch. After doing that for an hour he decided he was going to come up for food. He ate 5 super worms and drank water. He is now back down in the same spot standing in the dirt? Is he just getting to cooler grounds? It is about 75 down there, mid cage is 80 and upper top is 85 with two basking spots. One basking spot is around 89 and the other is about 92.
Any ideas as to why he is sitting in dirt?
