I edited down a few minutes of water intake into a short video. This is my youngest female. You can see how everything they do is slow, unless you have a live grasshopper or nice green mantis for them.

I have a male that comes right up to the screen and opens his mouth and gulps down the water until he has had enough. Only then does he move his head away from the screen. Only one of mine that ever did that.

Leo likes to shoot at the water on the plastic sheeting have lining the inside of his cage

n fact, he never actually puts his mouth up to water, he always shoots at it whether it be on a leaf of coming from his dripper.

i've experienced this with so many chameleons! its so awesome to watch them using their tongues like that! their eye sight is awesome!
