Hey guys! I will be attending the Tinley NARBC show next month and i don't know of any panther breeders who will be there. Does anyone know of some good panther chameleon breeders that will be at the show?

Thanks!

Is this worth going to if you have minimal interests in reptiles other than Chameleons? Its over an hour drive for us and want to make sure its worth the time and entry fee for 2 people

I was there yesterday (the show continues through today). Great show overall; better selection of all types of herps than in past years.

There was one dedicated cham breeder (Chameleon Addicts) who had a handful of younger Panthers for sale. His booth was not busy, which suggested to me more about the interests of the general herp buying public than about anything else.

There was one larger general herp vendor out of Fl (I don't recall the name, though if I looked through the vendor list I might recognize it) who had about a half dozen Meller's that were attracting a lot of attention.

LLL had a selection of about a half dozen species of smaller chams -- horned species and similar.

One or two vendors had young veileds.

I think I saw a display with a few pygmy chams of some sort.

That's it, I think, out of about 200 vendors. The herp hobby is currently infatuated with ball pythons and geckos of all sorts.

I was there this morning, and it seemed to have a lot more variety than last year. Still mostly geckos and snakes, but the variety of supplies was great! A couple cricket vendors were even handing out free samples. I got a free box of 500 crickets. :) That was a nice surprise. I think snakes and geckos are a lot easier to transport. Chameleons stress so easily that it's a lot harder to take them on the road.

Agreed. On a related note, I bought a red blood python and a couple mourning geckos, and left them in my hotel room. The hotel put out an obnoxious sign that said that they'd be inspecting rooms to see that there were no animals in the rooms, and that made me think that hiding a snake in a locked suitcase would be easy, but a cham wouldn't tolerate that.
