I am not trying to beat a dead horse here.... but I have posted readings of UVB output using simple tricks like using aluminum foil on 'cheap' HD fixtures and the output of UVB has increased nearly 2 fold.
Just in general I think anyone using any fixture (unless equipped with a application specific reflector) should install aluminum foil to the the 'reflector' surface of the fixture. I do it to all of my fixtures no matter what they are made of.... because I don't have any 'high end' fixtures with reflectors actually meant to direct light downward. Most fixtures have 'reflectors', but most of these fixtures only have the reflector as 'show' IMHO. Again, this is why I encourage and personally use foil on all my fixtures.
