The lateralis are going through their usual cycles in my household.
Today after 30 hours of trying to nest, Orangey White finally laid her 2nd F3 clutch. She seems to struggle with nesting so I am relieved she has finished. Last time she was even more difficult.
Meanwhile, 4 cute little lats have popped out over the course of the last week from that 13 month and counting clutch.
Until these hatched, I've been without baby lats for 2 or 3 months, which is the biggest break I've had from raising baby lats in quite some time. After this small clutch is done hatching, I do not have any more due until September-ish. Then it's back to the usual constant clutches being due again, and I am always happy to have that problem.
