    Repashy SuperVite

No Worries! Just want to make sure people are properly informed. IMHO, Calcium Plus eliminates the need for supervite in most situations because it is basically a blend of supervite and supercal products with a little superpig tossed in.

    Repashy SuperVite

I am not sure why such a false statement like this can so quickly be made. It clearly says on the label that it contains vitamin D (as D3) and it lists the exact levels that the product contains. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------...

    Bug burger

Hi Spiffy...... Your right, I was assuming that hornworms would have the same switching issues as silkworms, as well as saturniid Moths (I raised Larva on a walnut leaf powder based Bug Burger) , and Phasmids (I have been playing around for a few years now with Phasmid gel diets using...

    Bug burger

I actually have a small hornworm breeder/seller who has been using bug burger as the exclusive diet. That being said, the big problem is it may be difficult to switch them from one food to another because they have a reputation to "lock on" to whatever they first start to eat. You might need to...

    Bug burger

The best way to keep it from drying out is to put it in a container so it is deep, rather than shallow. You want a square block, rather than a flat sheet. This way you minimize the exposure to air. It is better to put a few large blocks in than to cut it up into little pieces for the same...

    question about repashy calcium plus

Hi Everyone, I have been a busy man lately. I became a father three months ago and my forum time has been replaced by bottle time :) I don't like to step in on too many threads these days here because it seems to be the same conversations starting over and over again. I don't like to be...

    Calcium PLUS - how often?

Wow..... First, the Kammers, nor I, claimed a scientific study was done..... Maybe you should read their press release. They did side by side growth and breeding trials by splitting clutches and using Calcium Plus on half the groups, and their regular regiment on the other.... over a course of...

    Calcium PLUS - how often?

I need to clarify a major error in my post. I have edited and corrected it. I was talking about very few cases of hypovitamintosis A when I meant to say Hypervitamintosis A...... Sorry about that!.... So to clarify.... evidence for vitamin A OVERDOSE is rarely clinically reported...

    Calcium PLUS - how often?

Hi Folks, Someone just pointed me to this thread. I am on the road right now, but want to start by pointing out a few things in regards to vitamin D, A, and calcium..... they all require balance... Saying there is too much Vitamin A in the product is not a statement based on science or fact...

Is this the repashy everyone recommends?

The T-Rex product is a formula I licensed to them 10 years ago and is quite different and out dated compared to the formula I manufacture and sell myself. Allen

Do you use Repashy Calcium Plus

I just wanted to add a couple things. First, Calcium Plus is NOT a new product. It may have recently been embraced my many Chameleon Specialists, but I have been making and selling it with very little changes, since around 1997. Chameleon folks can be quite superstitious and a bit "old school"...

Repashy Calcium Plus for montane neonates?

subscribed! Combined feedback on experiences like this, will in the long term, help everyone figure out what works well for more sensitive species. Right now, four-six months is about as long as the folks here have been testing the product with these species, so we have quite a ways to go...

    Repashy

Some simple management will insure you have the right amount of moisture, and can easily add the right amount of water back..... Set up the whole container with mixed media, eggs, lid and everything.... then weigh it... Then weigh it once a month and whatever the weight difference is from the...

    Dino-Burger....?

Not so good. and it's REALLY expensive.

    Dino-Burger....?

No, it is a proprietary blend of four different plant gums. It doesn't require refrigeration to harden like gelatin mixes do. Gelatin is an animal based protein so it adds a lot of poorly digestible animal protein, which IMHO is a bad thing for bugs and bug eaters.

    Dino-Burger....?

You can mix anything you want into the bug burger, but the problem is going to be that you will be diluting the gel ingredients, so if you mixed it 50/50, you would end up with a gel that was really weak because it had half the amount of gelling ingredients in it. As long as you are adding...

    Calcium Plus ICB

No, the product was designed to balance out the nutritional value of a cricket and make it as nutritionally complete for whatever eats it. Bird, Fish, Reptile, Mammal, it really doesn't matter since all vertebrates need the same calcium to phosphorous ration and vitamins that are balanced to...

    Calcium Plus ICB

I personally would start at around twice a week to animals that are fed daily... or a better formula might be every every third feeding (compared to every feeding for Panthers) I think 3X a month isn't enough for even sensitive species... at a minimum, I would say start with once a week. Allen

    Calcium Plus ICB

I second that advice! Montane species have a reputation for being more supplement sensitive than other species, so we should assume this is true and start conservatively and work our way towards regular use and gather evidence as it is reliably brought forth abut successes and failures...

    Repashy miracle supplement?

I am not sure where an assumption like this can be drawn that connects you statement in any way to Vitamin A toxicity. Crested gecko diet is a food and not a supplement and has levels of vitamin A which are consistent with a complete diet. The levels of vitamin A in Calcium Plus have been been...
