Need some help with a complaint

Hello everyone, been a long time since I was on! Anyway, was in a store today that sells reptiles (went in to get filters for the fish tank) and saw they had a young cham and just saw red. Asked to speak to the staff in charge (got a kid who normally deals with the plants) and i just lost it...

    which feeders can bite?

Locusts bite? I wouldn't have thought that, but then again they will eat the dead ones, so I suppose they would! Gonna be more careful handling them now! Joe has been bitten by crickets and he said they really hurt.

The latest addition - a puppy!

The rescue we got her from is near where there are lots of puppy farms, so often get the puppies that aren't sold for various reasons, plus the the exbreeders, dumped on them. It's heartbreaking to read the stories on the website. Some of these exbreeding dogs are 3 years old. Its so sad, you do...

The latest addition - a puppy!

We have a couple of dog training books, plus "The Perfect Puppy" by Gwen Bailey. I also have a friend who is doing a dog training course, so thankfully she's around to help too! It is hard work - she hates being alone, and would scream for hours at night, so we now have her crated in the bedroom...

The latest addition - a puppy!

Ok, so we ended up going with a different breed of dog! OH wanted a malamute, but I really can't handle them so we decided to go with another. We ended up choosing this little girl, who we have called Piper. She is (allegedly) a collie terrier cross and 10 weeks old. Her and her brothers and...

Amy & Tommy in the Sun!

I still can't get over how big Tommy's casque is! Hugo's casque is no way near that big!

    Dexters digging?

Are they little bumps, or quite obvious? When I was sold my first cham, I was told it was a male by the shop (who we thought knew what they were talking about as they sold reptiles). Turns out it was a female, which is why it was digging! When I called the shop they responded with "well that's...

Hurt? How long before you see?

Thanks guys. We spoke to the vet who has booked him in for Monday as she wants to check, just to make sure. We have been watching him today, and he has been wandering the cage a lot, but thats about it. We will see what Monday's visit brings!

Hurt? How long before you see?

Ok, this may sound like a silly question, but here goes - if your chameleon falls and hurts itself, will you see straight away, or are they similar to us where adrenaline can cover it up for a bit? We were cleaning out Hugo'd cage yesterday, and he refused to come out so we were having to do...

    McNasty and his Nameless Brother...

Have you chosen "McNasty" as a Grey's reference? (I am such a Grey's Anatomy geek). Surely then something along the lines of McDreamy? Or you could just grab a book and see what you find. We are about to (fingers crossed) get a rescue puppy and are thinking of Gatsby (as in The Great Gatsby) as...

Do wooden sides make the chameleons feel safer?

Ok, maybe this is a stupid comment, but surely you would have to assess the animal to determine the size of most suitable enclosure? My male veiled is in a standard size cage, and most days has a little wander round. Some days he even tries to come out. I am sure that he will be fine in this...
