How well does your plexiglass bottom catch water running down the sides of the enclosure? I'm getting leaks because of that, and I can't think of an elegant solution.
It sms that each cham is different. Some settle down, some will bite to break skin.
My veiled is much happier being handled after this summer. Every few days he got to go outside in the nice warm sun on his 5' tall hibiscus tree. For whatever reason - probably the positive association with...
Good to see someone found my setup useful :D
The point you raise about the other water is why I'm revamping the design, hoping to get one of these neat new drip trays. 95% of the water is caught by the PVC in the bottom of the cage and goes down the funnel no problem. The other 5% runs off on...
It'll look like it's about to die before getting better.
I have a two foot fluorescent plant grow bulb on top of my cham's enclosure in addition to his UVB and incandescent bulb. Despite that over the first week or two the hibiscus dropped almost all of its leaves. Then it got over the stress...
Hot water out of the tap isn't hot enough for my veiled. I have to microwave it for a minute or so first, depending on how much water is in the container. The mist should feel warm 1-2 feet out from the sprayer.

For all of you that are worried, the boat was docked the entire time and all exits were sealed...
My veiled fell a few times in the first few weeks after I moved him to his new enclosure. Always from the roof. I'm guessing the aluminum mesh is quite a bit different to climb on than the Reptarium plastic stuff. He landed in his plant most of the time, usually looking around like "WTF just...
