What causes premature panther chameleons

I was just wondering what causes premature babies? I've been breeding veilds for 10 years and panther for 5 and this is the third batch of panther eggs where the eggs shrunk at 7 months right before hatching and the babies were not strong enough to pole out and sufficated in the eggs. Has anyone had that happen to them? It breaks my heart to see it happen, I would love to figure out what I did wrong and what I can do to fix it. If anyone has any advice, will be much appreciated/ Thanks

It might be that hour substrate is too moist.

Thanks for your advice, thats a possibility. I keep alot of batches together in one incubator, with the same substrate, temps but I guess some of my containers might be weter than others. I will pay more attention to that. thank you
