Just a little tease
It's been almost 6 weeks since Agnes laid her eggs and so far she is showing no sign of a second clutch.
She is also showing no sign of being interested in Kitty.
I am going to hopefully have them breed in June or July but had them together for a few minutes yesterday to see what her reaction to him would be.
It's been a few weeks since I tested this and she did not turn dark at all.
Despite that, she was still not interested and has not shown any receptive coloration.
Again, these meetings are not (at this time) an attempt to breed them.
These brief encounters every few weeks are an effort to gauge where she is at and to stimulate Kitty (although it appears he needs little encouragement ... he would like to get busy!)
When they are separated they cannot see each other.
They will remain this way now till May when I introduce them again.
