I have been askin lately about plants and branches for my new cage. Well, I just so happen to have another. I was wondering if I could use bamboo as well as the other various branches I accquired??? Thanx everyone

i am nearly positive all bamboo is safe. as far as your branches go

Bake them at 350 for 20 mins.
If they are to large to bake wash w/ bleach and soap. then give them a heavy rince 2 or 3 times.

Yes i have heard on this forum it is an ok plant i would use the search feature and try not to start to many threads about the same topic as Brad was saying.

stay away form the lucky bamboo. this isnt real bamboo, but it is toxic. It can cause vomiting in chameleons. make sure the bamboo isnt your main plant, but an additon to your cage.

Bake those branches at 200 degrees.:)

For future reference if you use dried bamboo, watch using this as a perch with larger chameleon species, as they can develop sores on their feet from not getting a good grasp on the smooth surface.
