New baby panther chameleon chewing on branches

I got a baby panther chameleon around three days ago and he still has not eaten despite me offering the feeder cup and leaving it on the branch every morning, i'm assuming because he still needs to adjust to his environment, he is i think 2 and a half or three months old. I noticed since i got him that he occasionally chews on branches (not plants from what i've seen) and he tries really hard to get pieces off and i'm not sure if he actually has gotten any but i occasionally will see him chewing on something after chewing on the branch. I'm super worried about this behavior and I did look into it on google and it says that they may just need their supplements but I literally cannot give him any because he's refusing to eat due to me just getting him. Should i be worried about this?

Here's my setup, I use a 75w basking bulb and tfho 5.0 reptisun uvb. Lights off at 9 and fogger goes on at night, then lights on at 8 am

Ok make sure you are only fogging if temps are below 67 ish... It needs to be cool when fogging.

Double check your temps at basking with a gauge that has a probe. Hook the probe to the branch below the heat with a zip tie. No hotter than 80 at the branch.

How are you offering food? The little pink bird cup?

Ok got you, id have to get a temperature measure with a probe then, I use the little meter on the top right and it shows high 80s, almost 90s, should i get a lower watt bulb? like 60w?

I offer food in the pink cup once every morning but he never eats it from what it seems. I leave dusted crickets in there but they just always end up crawling out, sometimes i leave soldier fly larva but they crawl out eventually too so i leave it for about and hour and a half and he doesn't show interest so i offer the next morning.

Yeah your analog meter is not going to give you accurate temps or humidity. And it will not give you the real basking temp. Zoo med makes a temp gauge with a probe. Yeah your analog meter is not going to give you accurate temps or humidity. And it will not give you the real basking temp. Zoo med makes a temp gauge with a probe. Then you can get govee sensors to put in the cage top and bottom but to where they can not be directly sprayed. So I am not sure where you got baby from but he may not be used to cup feeding. Also that is a very bright cup some chams do not respond well to bright threatening colors. Might try getting it in white to see if he will go for it. Literally put like 3 dozen tiny crickets in there so there is a ton of movement. Make sure the placement of the feeder is so he can look down into it (this way he sees all the movement) and easily can get to it to shoot.

I really do not believe in the they don't eat if they are new to you... Everyone I have had has immediately started eating when given the right feeding option.

The breeder cup fed him but with some grey cup but I don’t use it cause I can’t hang it on anything, should I try that? And yeah I only put like two little crickets so maybe it’s not enough movement for him

If they gave you something like what they use then try to figure out a way to hook it in. Baby will recognize it and use it. And you want to fill it so it has tons of movement... Babies that young need to be taking down at least 2 dozen feeders a day.

Regarding panther chameleons nibbling branches…this is common for them to do.
