feeding cup trouble

i have an approx. 5-7 month old veiled male that hasnt grown at all that i know of in the past four months, but he loves to hunt his food by stalking it or sitting and waiting for it to come by.

ive use a small tubber ware container with multiple holes cut in it for awhile that he was eating out of for about a week. then i would catch him just sitting and looking at the crickets like they where dumb for a few days and i would get worried but as soon as i poured them in he would chase them down, i tried a red plastic cup, clear plastic cup, he will generally eat one out of there then just stare and not eat for a day or two which isnt normal for him.

ANY tips on how i can train him to cup feed??

Don't use a cup. Use a tub so he can hunt but the bugs aren't loose.

I would never use a small plastic cup with my guys.

My Crickets end up free roaming LOL??

My male veiled Stewie thinks he is a dog!! He doesnt seem to like hunting for his food. He climbs to the edge of the container and picks them off with his toungue, he does eat really well, My my concern is, when I put crickets in they manage to jump out, Whats the best thing to put them in?
