420 reptile show

Who's going to the reptile show at the OC fairgrounds on April 20th?

Is it usually a good show or more of the same? cant find much info on it

Being on that date... Make sure its a herp fest and not a hemp fest :D

hemp should be legalized and its demonization because of the association with marijuana is absurd. paper, textiles, and oil industries (among other things) would benefit PROFOUNDLY. but thats a topic bound to be moderated...just sayin

i hadn't heard of it either....can you link some info?

edit: welcome to the forums, looks like you are in my neighborhood :)

It's not really a reptile show - it's the yearly pet expo
http://www.petexpooc.com/

This is the first year they are having reptile sales.
From the web site:
Reptile Show & Sale
Find dozens of varieties of reptiles at the Reptile Show and Sale. From lizards, snakes, to tarantulas – of all colors, shapes and sizes – adults and kids will have the opportunity to interact with hands-on demonstrations, touching and holding. A portion of proceeds will benefit The United States Association of Reptile Keepers (USARK), an education and advocacy group promoting awareness and responsible care of reptiles.

I plan to go as I am in walking distance of the fairgrounds. It is usually super crowded and has always been focused more on dog and cat owners.

I didn't know hemp was illegal...? I have hemp flip flops and bracelets. When I lived in Washington they have an actual "Hempfest". And it's a pretty big deal. And I know Colorado has something similar in Boulder. So at least here and there it's definitely legal.

hemp is not illegal, not sure why he is implying it is.....

marijuana in general should be legalized and its incorrect social stigma removed

Off topic but

the hemp in all of your products is grown outside of the United States it is illegal to cultivate in the Untied States. And if your are only going to the show for reptiles it seems like a waste IMO.

We are going to be at this here pet expo. Not too sure how its going to be for us reptile people though... I have a feeling that it will be alot of people who dont understand what is so cool about a reptile. I have my fingers crossed for a good time though.
