I have had several panther chameleon eggs hatch over the past 2.5 weeks. Currently I have an egg with just the tail sticking out of it. It has been like this for about 2 days. I was wondering if anyone has seen this before and if they have eventually finished hatching.

hey i have hatched my veiled chams last april 1 and yes i have 1 egg that the tail pipped out i was going to help it but decided to leave it alone she went out perfectly fine the next day.

I am by no means an expert, but if it's been in the same position for two days you may want to help it out of the eggs

UPDATE:

Sorry that it took so long for reply. Yes the egg hatched fine. I had another do the same thing, found out the babies are basically folded in the egg, the head and the tail are next to each other.

Still have 3 eggs waiting to hatch. It has now been 3 weeks since the first one hatched. Of the 3 eggs left, one started to sweat a little and shrank down then stopped, it never pipped possibly didnt make it, but no mold or other signs so still waiting. The other are still huge so I am thinking they are still fine.

This is her first clutch. She laid 31 eggs of which 10 went bad within a couple weeks. 18 hatched so far and doing great.
