    Really sad....

If all of these corporate pet stores were concerned and organized like yours, we wouldn't have this problem. It seems as though you are in the business because you are passionate about animals and helping others to be passionate about them as well. This is how all pet stores and breeders should...

    Really sad....

My local petco had two male veileds housed together in a glass aquarium, the temperature in the cage was 80 F, no UVB and obviously no reall heat bulb, the water in the dripper was brown, and all they fed them was lettuce because they apparently didn't "like" crickets. Then i went to ask about...

    Baby Chameleon

Alright thk you, everytime i open his cage to mist or to clean it i let him know that i see him and then i just ignore him, i am hoping he will realize this way that i am his source of food and water. He has started to calm down a little around me but he still takes off when i try to hold him

    Baby Chameleon

Alright, so i have had my baby cham for about 2 weeks now and he has settled into his new home rather nicely. He has been pooping and eating and has actually grown considerably. So my question is this, how should i commence to holding him? I know that chameleons are not pets that are supposed...

    Grey/brown veiled!

You could always post a picture of your enclosure and a picture of your chameleon, maybe someone will be able to point out any husbandry issues? I'm not implying that there are or that you're doing something wrong or anything, but there are some extremely experienced keepers on this forum that...

A few questions, help me with my new cham.

i think i read somewhere that they will eat around twenty crickets a day. As far as the light, that should be ok also. Watering the crickets can be done by giving them different types of fruits and vegetables. This way you gut load them and they get the water they need. However, you can also...

    First Feeding

Ok, so it has been around five days since i introduced Thadius to his new home, and today is the first day that he has eaten. I was starting to get worried. I put feeding cups in all the plants and different areas of the cage hoping he might touch them, of course he never did( That would have...

    New Chameleon

Thank you for the replies. Today is Thadius's third day with me, and he has finally started to explore his cage. I beleive he ate earlier today as well while i was at school. He does not enjoy being misted though, it looks so cute when he runs away( well what i consider running for a Cham)...

Cage Bottom - Wood or Screen or What?

That would work, or something like a baby pool. If you use screen on the bottom of the cage and then place a tub or something underneath it to catch the excess?

Need a little advice for my poor chameleon.

I would go with what the vet told you to do, BUT the people on this website probably have a lot more experience with chameleons than your vet does. With this being said, it would be a good idea to fill out the information sheet and possibly even post some pictures. Someone on here might have had...

Cage Bottom - Wood or Screen or What?

They are made of clear plastic What exactly are you trying to make? Something like a sink to catch water?

Cage Bottom - Wood or Screen or What?

Plastic for the bottom would definately be the way to go, that way you could build a drain into it like a sink has. Also you may want to look into a soft tray. These are built for reptariums but you could probably use one for your cage. There are many different sizes on this link.-- Middle of...
