Hey everyone. Been a little while...
I have one horn worm moth from the last time I bought a ton of them. Just wanted to see how big they really ate before I try to breed.
Questions, now: How do I sex them? And cam someone link me to a care sheet for breeding?
I need to know what to...
I got my Australian Stick Bugs yesterday. They're SO COOL! I'm exited to breed them. They're super nice and fun to play with, too.
Thanks, Nick Barta, for helping me get these awesome bugs and with a good, simple care sheet.
The chameleons love them just as much as I do ;)
can anyone tell me what kind of plant this is? I'm trimming a whole bunch of it and want to use it inside of my enclosure.it looks really nice I just don't want to put my chameleon in danger. Thanks :-)...
Hey guys, I've been working with my dubia colony for a while now and I may have run into a problem. I went through them today to clean and I found 2 males...
Is that enough to keep the colony going? There's probably 800 roaches in there, babies, adults, etc. all added up. Probably more...
I rescued a 1.5 year old Veiled cham from a woman who didn't know how to take care of him about a month ago. I really wanted a Panther cham, but I just couldn't pass up seeing him being treated the way he was...
He's got amazing colors for anyone who just wants him as a pet or even for...
Almost completely out of hornworm chow. I'm gonna order more but it's the weekend and I didn't plan enough ahead.
What can I feed them until I get chow?
I'm going to do cup feeding for Ender and Peter to make sure they're getting enough food for a while. I keep giving them roaches and it's hard to tell if the roaches are hiding or if they're getting them.
Would you guys mind posting some pics of how you have your cups mounted to your...
How much chow do you guys go through each month on food for these guys in a colony? I'm going to be starting one but want to make sure I can afford it.
I'm thinking about starting with hornworms both this week.
Thanks,
Dillon
Peter is insane...
He has 3 hanging plants in his enclosure: a pilea and 2 pothos plants. They all have river rocks over them so he won't eat the dirt, but it's not working!! :(
He is so desperate to eat the dirt that he literally will dig out a hole in the rocks and eat the dirt from...
Peter doesn't seem to enjoy basking... instead he just sits right under his UV light the whole freakin' day. Except when I feed him, he'll move around and catch all the food I put in there within seconds, then go back to "basking" under his UV.
Is it because I'm giving him too little, or is...
So Ender pretty much just finished off the rest of his coleus plant... Should I replace it with another one, or just let it regrow its leaves? It's got some nubs about to grow stuff......
Could someone send me to the right place to get the best thermohygrometer for my enclosures? I don't mind having a hand-held one, versus being on the wall of the enclosure. Just whatever is best!
Thanks,
Dillon
I seriously want a tegu. I ordered one at the local pet shop (they'll call me when they have one they can order first). Just wanted to find out if anyone else has one or knowledge on what it's like keeping them. I'll be getting a black/white Argentine, probably. :D
Has anyone tried to use captive grown earth worms as feeders for their chameleons before?
I have fed them to my turtle and have seen them fed to many types of frogs, salamanders, etc. but I'm not sure how a cham would take it...
They're captive bred and grown on backwaterreptiles.com and...
I turned off Ender's lights at about 10pm tonight and left the room to watch a movie in the living room. My girlfriend stayed in the room on her phone for a bit with the light on.
Apparently there's a small crack that flies and small crickets can fit through on Ender's door.
There are now...
