Short answer: yes it would. How would you like it if there was a nice cheeseburger, or a huge sundae just out of your reach. Safer to just get a heating pad and keep them out of your chams view :)
Is it a hole or a dark spot? Some pics would help. But if its a hole, then take him to the vet as soon as possible. If its a dark spot and a its a male, than you're fine. My beardie is almost 7 years old and his beard goes FULL black every now and again, just a mood thing. He also gets darker...
So my 6 month old Ambilobe is sitting at the top of the enclosure with his mouth open. He closes it every now and again but every time I look back he's got it open. Any ideas why he is doing this? I think its because it may be to hot in side (88.4)
The newest addition, A Blue Bar Ambilobe. One of Dragonfly56's babies she was selling. He's so sweet and is looking like he is going to have some killer coloring. I think I might like him more than I like philip... oh and sorry, i think i put this in the wrong section, if a mod can move it :)
he's actually very mean haha.. he is going to be more of a "show" animal...I cant even get him out with out him gaping and biting. I think he just needs time to get used to the idea of people. Oh, and can anyone tell me what they think of his front right arm? Is it all bruised, or just some...

leave room for the pothos to grow, but get some fake plants and get some bamboo sticks, cut them so they fit nice and snug across your cage and put them at different levels, then drape some plants and vines over the bamboo. Chameleons regulate their body temp by going to different levels of the...
LLLReptiles is a good website for your not so ordinary species. Jacksons can get up to 13 inches and need a 24" x 24" x 36" cage. Carpets can get up to 8 inches and need a 18" x 18" x 36", and Rudis get up to 7 inches and need a 16" x 16" x 30".
like ace said, more hiding places for the feeders. if you don't mind that and really want the moss, than go for it. And the only reason she is climbing is because there is no other place for her to go. im willing to bet if you put her in a screen cage she will only climb on the screen. I'm only...
and i also wouldnt risk it, shes just a baby, an adult veiled can handle a little bit of dirt if ingested. A couple week old baby will have a much harder time dealing with it..plus they are a lot clumsier with their aim than an adult.
