Now that they are illegal, I want one!!!

So I decided i wanted a big snake like a Burmese python. Not like a Burmese python, I want a Burmese python. So now it is illegal to ship them in the US. I live close to the illinois border and know of a place that has one, but I will have to cross state lines with it. Will i get busted if i do????

I wouldn't risk it. You might get a fine or spend time in jail. I don't think acquiring a reptile is worth jail time.

Pffft. Just don't release it. Put it in a pillow case in a tub in ur trunk and drive safe, check all ur lights, tabs, and watch ur speed. They usually have zero reason to check ur car unless u deserve it.. so don't deserve it.. I got a red tail boa for my bigger snake. There legal.

I agree! Just go for it and if you do get stopped what are the chances of them noing anything about snakes

You can also look for Burmese breeders. They are pretty common, in Texas at least lol. If you feel like making a trip to Houston I can show you a couple of places that have them from babies to 10+ feet. Including my shop.
