Flies and rollypollys

The other day I took my cham outside let him walk on the grass and get some sun. I noticed that he ate couple of flies and a rollypolly.

Are those safe for him?

As long as they were in nothing that may have been ‘contaminated’ by anything harmful like poison then its fine.

rollie pollies shell might be hard to digest but it depends on the age of your cham. Like astroprojector said as long as there were no poisons or contaminants the rollie pollie might have eaten and subjected your cham to upon ingestion.

Both could carry parasites.
Also, terrestrial isopods are also heavy metal bioaccumulators - so you really dont want to give wild caught ones to your chameleon.

I second that. Pillbugs are only to be an occasional treat.

Furthermore, flies may have been feeding on carrion which could result in bacterial infection. Jar-raised flies are fine, of course.
