Chameleon fish

This is my chameleon fish (Foxface):D

If you linger around the tank for to long he will do this,he goes to some of the rock and changes to the colors above and tries to blend in. Which can be dangerous because he's also poisonous.

He even does the chameleon lean (he leans with you, to try to hide)

I just thought this was awesome when I saw this for the first time because it's so similar to how chameleons act, and just thought id share.

Unfortunately the tank crashed today and I lost the puffer two tangs and a butterfly:(

But the two triggers and foxface are still going strong.

But you better believe I will be getting another puffer soon, I love those little guys.

sorry to hear that :( that happened to me when i had my saltwater tank and i lost the whole tank, live rock included.. but that was b/c i was out of town.. i'm starting to think i should never go out of town anymore.

awesome looking fish though! do you have any pics of the whole tank?

The first one is my coral safe tank with all the smaller breeds of fish.

And the second one is the one that just crashed(hence the cloudy-ness) but you can see the Niger trigger and Huma-Huma trigger if you look close enough and the foxface is hiding as usual.

And I currently have an about 35 gallon tank cycling for a pair of.....seahorses! :D

(Sorry if the pics are kinda bad, kinda hard to take them with the reflection)

I love my reef tanks! If you don't mind me asking, what caused the tank to crash? I know with tangs, like my Naso tang, they can rapidly change colors depending on mood and environment. When this fish needs to hide or gets exited, it can become black or spotted. The same could be the case with your fish.

Here is one of my tanks:

I'm not too sure I added the huma, and the next day it started going down hill.
I called my mom (the one who got me into saltwater) and we couldn't figure it out all levels were right just an unfortunate thing.

But some of the fish survived and I will rebuild.

I LOVE that naso, and I've never been able to have any luck with yellow tangs :/

What kind of set up do you have? For example, size tank, sump, skimmer, filtration media, etc. Adding a fish shouldn't cause a tank to crash, unless you introduce parasites, fungus, bacterial infection, etc. However, then you are dealing with other issues that are not water chemistry related.
