When You First Got Your Cham'

So, I'm new to owning a veiled chameleon. She is absolutely beautiful (I may be a little biased) and I've named her Willow. Will for short. When I first got her, I thought she was a boy, and had named her Damika (it's Russian). About a week after I got her she got an eye infection, and I flipped the frick out. Now though, she is better, thanks to a kind person from here and an amazingly generous veterinarian. It was interesting how many of the people at the animal clinic had never seen a chameleon in person. Everyone had to come and take a look at her. It was amazing and she was quite the popular lady.
What are your chameleon stories from when you first owned your chameleons? Whether is be your very first one, or the most recent? Any bizarre stories or funny? I'd like to hear!

I don't really have anything too funny to tell that I can think of. I got my first one back I think in Feburuary of 2010 and joined here in April of 2010. When I got my first little panther I was just in awe of it. My daughter and I actually pulled up chairs from a safe enough distance not to scare it, and literally sat there and watched it for hours!! I have learned so much about them from being on here. It is a great place to learn and make friends and share ideas and experiences. Good luck with your little one.
