What was your best deal on craigslist?

I mostly "flip tanks" (buy cheap tanks, set them up nice (usually saltwater) and sell them for a lot more) but today when I searched for chameleon I found a reptibreeze XL with vines, lights, EVERYTHING for $80, I got the seller down to $55 and she/he will deliver in the morning! I will probably put some nice plants in and clean it up a bit so I can sell it or I MIGHT get a panther or male veiled (so my female have a mate).

I still consider not getting mugged to be the best value of any CraigsList transaction :)

Seriously though, it always surprises me to see the prices people think they can get for used stuff. A lot of times, they would be better off donating to a charity or rescue and taking the donation on their taxes.

My best "deal" was $100 for a huge, but tacky and broken, chandelier that I refurbished and have hung over the billiards table. Three tiers of lights, and I used those fancy old timey "Edison" bulbs. It sucks electricity like a drunkard at a brew fest, but it looks amazing.

$25 for 1 large repti breeze. 1 42x36x18 and 1 smallest glass Cham cage. I forgot the brand. And 2 glass tanks plus starter kit mist king. U wouldn't believe my I know. I didn't either but I did my homework before showing up. I google ear the his address. I know what ur thinking why? Well when I heard the deal I said to my self its either a scam or real. Only way I'll believe if it's real is if they are rich! And really just want to get rid of em. So I googled earth his house. Lol I found a big house and big swimming pool outside. Also saw lots of jetskiis in the front yard. I call my friend and guaranteed him it's legit. There goes a 1 hr drive and it was so worth it. It's as I thought. The guy is rich n his son out grew all these things he sold to us.

Just be smart when dealing with craigslist. Never meet somewhere private. Always make it ur own term. If it has to be in theirs, do ur homework about the area

$50.00 entertainment center that we turned into a cage. In fact I have 3 of those.

And yes one of the best values is not getting mugged.

liked! and that's 90 percent of the excitement!

I quit craigslist altogether because of this. Plus, who wants to be lowballed every 3 minutes. When you say firm or no trades, that is what it means. Not, 'Hey, can I trade you 2 vcr's and a hot pocket for your 2011 Honda Accord?' Craigslist: where the lobotomized people shop!!! :D
