When should you size up your enclosure?

Hi, I've got a male veiled cham around 5-7 months old (the pet store didn't know, but people on here gave me an estimate based on his size). Right now, I'm keeping him in a 16x16x36 (inches) home. I do realize that eventually I will have to move him into a larger enclosure, and I plan on getting a 24x24x48 for him. I just wanted to ask, when would be the ideal time to get the larger one and move him into it? Right now he doesn't seem discontent or cramped with his current home, so I'm not too concerned, but I just wanted an opinion from more experience cham owners. Any help is appreciated!

The 24 by 48 probably be good for him anytime you're ready I don't have much knowledge in Veils. But I have a couple five-month-old female Panther that I keep in the 18 by 36 is

I moved mine when I was certain they were big enough to still find their food (and even then used a cup feeder to be sure for a month). They were about 2 1/2 months old. The cages I moved them to are 36w x 32d x 48h
