Lately, i am very into keeping mantises and months ago I got my first mantises.
While researching on the net, I found a very funny looking image of insect.

Never seen it be4. In fact, i never knew it exist. Apparently, native to Canada and north america.
very rarely found. So, if you find it, take a picture and let them go, please.

Eventhough they resemble one, they are NOT species of mantis at all.
They are voracious predator and love eating spiders :eek:

They looked like a result of love affair between wasp and preying mantis.

Awesome! I love mantids. That looks like a wolf in sheeps clothing to me.



Well..I guess a wolf in bears clothing maybe.
 
I caught one last spring, and kept him for awhile in a deil cup. ( think Brad ID'ed him for me here on the forums) Fed him fruit flies. Just like a mini mantis. I let him go after the novelty of having a weird bug wore off
