Question (I know I sound like Dwight from the Office) lol

Why do live plants help keep a cage humid? I know it's kind of a dumb question. What is it transpiration? Plants release water as an end product of photosynthesis?

And the main question is, if you have a lot of live plants, they really release a significant amount of moisture? Cool cool. Thx!

The basic reason is simply. Plants sit in pots, pots have damp soil, damp soil = humidity. Of course this is only a guess.

So I guess plants do release quite a bit of water from transpiration. Damp soil too. Thanks guys. Oh, and let just tell you the 3 plants I have. Two of them are quite large. Just bought them and set up the little guys cage yesterday! His cage is so pretty!

Large Croton, large schefflera, and a average sized pothos. I hope the pothos will cover a lot of the bottom of the cage to keep the cage moist.
