Here is an article for all you fans of Nosy Valiha Furcifer pardalis. The island of Nosy Valiha is officially for sale/for lease. It is being offered up for sale as a possible resort or a golf course. Chameleon conservation speaking if they keep the laying areas, tree's and brush the island should still be adequate habitat for the islands Furcifer pardalis. However other than the Furcifer pardalis I have not seen any environmental assessment of the island to assess what the impact of either of these developments would have on the islands other wildlife. If impact statements are policies that the Madagascar government requires for these kinds of proposed developments? This small island of 950 acres is only selling for $4,000,000 Euro's or $4,952,573 USD. Here's a link.

This is if the buyers even develop the island. This island could prospectively become an ecotourist nature preserve to the right buyer.
