No heat lamp?

its been really hot the last couple of days (100+) and I have been keeping the basking bulb off. I keep the cage in my room, and the temp in his cage is around 85-90 through the day. I keep the window cracked with a fan for circulation when im gone, and keep him well hydrated with his dripper and misting. Should I keep it off even with the warm temps? I know they need basking to digest the food, but will the ambient temp in the cage be enough? Or should I just point a 25w in the corner just in case? I don't want to burn him or overheat him so I just keep the UVB tube on 12hours a day like normal. He is only about 3 months old and I read they don't even need a basking light until a certain age as long as the temps are above 70-75? Thanks!
