My Panther opens his mouth

can a large cricket cause a splinter in my panthers mouth. I gave him crickets that were large and then he would open his mouth big. I feed him the large for about three days.
 
Yes the very large female crickets have a rod (looks like a stinger out there back end), its called a ovipositor and it to help them lay eggs i believe. That ovipositor could cause problems for your cham. May get stuck in there throat or even stabbed

I dont feed my cham amy of these. Not worth the risk
