Hi all,
I just wanted to share a long-dreamed of addition to my modest native basket collection. Its what is referred to as a bottleneck basket decorated with quail topknots. Made by a weaver from the Kawaiisu tribe from California, probably around the turn of the century.
Looks like I'll be eating Ramen, rice, salad, and tuna for a while after the bill hits the bank account. But at least it won't need UV lighting, vet visits, or silkworms!
