Hand Feeding

I have 2 new Panthers, and wondering if hand feeding is ok? I want to get them use to me so that I can get them by hand and take them outside. They won't let me touch them yet, but they will eat from my hand. Any thoughts?

hand feeding is great. It trains them to not be STRESSED every time they see you, but instead to be somewhat "happy" or excited that they are getting some grub.

ok thanks it seemed like he didn't mind I just want to make sure. I definatly don't want my guys being stressed.

I enjoy "hand" feeding using bamboo skewers. I leave my panthers in their cages, and let b. dubia nymphs crawl on the skewer. My hand is about a foot from the chameleon while holding the skewer. It's great for letting newly acquired and timid chameleons eat in close proximity to you. Also you know exactly how much they are eating, and not run the risks associated with free roaming insects.
Just make sure that the skewer is not splintery, and don't feed from the pointy end.
